Lost and Found: Changing Course on My White Cliffs Hike Adventure

I set off on my adventure, climbing the first cliff in Dover. Huffing and puffing 😆, I reached the top of one of the many cliffs, admiring the breathtaking views and feeling like a champion! As I walked further, I bumped into a park guide and asked for the best route from Dover to Folkestone. He looked at me like I’d asked for directions to Narnia!? and clearly suggested I head to Deal instead- which is in the opposite direction!He assured me the views would be spectacular…and let me tell you, the scenery was indeed stunning. I could fully immerse myself in the natural beauty of the area. Then came the real adventure. I decided to take a detour down to the beach at St Margaret's Bay and promptly got lost. But hey-ho, the bay was beautiful and rather peaceful, with a local restaurant/cafe called “Coastguard on the Bay,” a perfect place for a little top-up on coffee and a cheeky ice cream by the beach.
