The beginning of the beginning 

 

Ever since I can remember, I have felt a profound sense of displacement, a longing for a time and place I have never physically known."I should have been born in the hippie era," I would often say, imagining myself amidst the colorful whirl of a typical hippie commune. It is not merely a whimsical notion but a deeply rooted conviction: my soul belongs to that era, to that lifestyle, and to that community.

Road Trips : Modern Hippie's Journey

Road trips, with their promise of endless horizons and unplanned destinations, embody a spirit of liberation that resonates deeply with those who yearn for a break from the constraints of everyday life. This sense of freedom found in traveling mirrors the essence of the hippie soul, which seeks connection, authenticity, and a deeper understanding of the world. For modern travellers, the road trip serves as a bridge to the ideals and experiences cherished by the hippie movement.Yeah! There is something inherently freeing about the idea of hitting the road with no fixed destination in mind ✨😎


️The journey itself becomes the goal, offering an escape from the routines and responsibilities that often define our daily existence.. Just as hippies sought to explore new ways of living and thinking, road trippers embark on journeys that challenge their perspectives and open their minds to new possibilities!

In a world that often feels increasingly disconnected and superficial, the road trip serves as a reminder of the importance of freedom, adventure, and genuine human connection. 

 

The beginning

On the 19th of May 2024, I bought a SUV, Mazda 5, fulfilling a long-held dream. It’s not the newest car, but size-wise it’s perfect to convert the back into a sleeping area or a cozy space for relaxation during those much-awaited road trips.

Stunning Jurassic Coast: Enjoying My first road trip with teenage kids

The Jurassic Coast is truly a breathtaking place, where history and nature come together to create one of the most stunning coastal landscapes in the UK. This UNESCO World Heritage site stretches for 95 miles along the southern coast of England, revealing 185 million years of Earth's history.    For our adventure, we decided to park at Lulworth Cove, a picturesque spot that serves as an ideal starting point. The parking fee might seem steep at £20 for the day, but trust me, it's worth every penny. The convenience of being right next to such incredible scenery makes it a no-brainer.   We began our day with a hearty breakfast at a café right by the cove. Yes, the prices were a bit on the commercial side, but the view of the cove while sipping coffee was priceless-ABSOLUTELY!.
